New Master's degree programme Bioinformatics
Masaryk University has accredited a new study programme Bioinformatics in cooperation between the Faculty of Informatics and the Faculty of Science.
Our colleagues Tomáš Raček, Tomáš Svoboda and Adrián Rošinec recently completed a project named „Portálové řešení pro správu a zpracování life-science datových sad a jejich metadat ukládaných v systému Onedata“. The project was carried out via a cooperation between The National Centre for Biomolecular Research at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University and the Institute of Computer Science at the Masaryk University. We are grateful for the funding provided by the CESNET Development fund (Fond rozvoje CESNET, z.s.p.o.) for this endeavour.
The key output of the endeavour is the DAtaset REGistry (DAREG): a web portal that enables users to manage their datasets, stored using the underlying Onedata infrastructure, and enrich them using metadata. The portal is available on https://dareg.biodata.ceitec.cz/.
