On 8th September, there were two formal occasions at the National Centre for Biomolecular Research. Two doctoral students have successfully defended their theses. Vladimír Horský has defended his dissertation "Validation of molecular 3D structures". Adam Midlik defended his dissertation on "Annotation and visualization of protein secondary structure".
Our heartiest congratulations go to both successful students.
Collaboration between the NCBR at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, and CESNET has resulted in the development of the PROPTIMUS tools for correcting and optimising AI-predicted protein structures.
On 3rd September, our colleague Gabriela Bučeková successfully defended her dissertation thesis at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University. Her thesis topic is "Bioinformatics analysis of protein properties".
